Join us for a delicious tasting experience celebrating two of Iowa's finest foods — local honey and artisan cheese.
We're excited to welcome Katie Flinn, owner of Milk & Honey Orchard and Apiary in Indianola. Katie manages honey hives and produces seasonal, single-source honeys that showcase the unique flavors of Iowa's landscape. Her passion for beekeeping and local food shines through in every jar.
During this tasting, Katie will guide us through four different honey varieties, all harvested from the Milo area, while exploring how nectar sources, weather, and the seasons influence flavor. Each honey will be paired with a selection of Iowa artisan cheeses, including favorites from Milton Creamery's Prairie Breeze, Lost Lake Farm, Hinterland Dairy, and Maytag Dairy Farms.
Along the way, you'll learn about honey production, discover how to taste honey like a pro, and explore the magic of sweet-and-savory pairings.
Come curious, come hungry, and enjoy a morning celebrating the flavors of Iowa!
